Workflow Timeout Function in Orchestrator
I am proposing a new feature to Orchestrator to mitigate issues related to certain activity elements. During development, we encounter instances where elements become unresponsive or processes freeze. This poses a significant challenge as processes can get stuck, even beyond the specified wait time of 15 seconds. Although these issues are temporary, they can disrupt our workflow.
To preemptively tackle such problems, could we introduce a new feature in Orchestrator, such as a process stop function? This functionality would allow us to set a predefined time for the process to finish, and if it exceeds this duration, the process would automatically stop.
For instance, consider a scenario where we are entering data into Excel, and the expected execution time is 30-45 minutes. If the process unexpectedly gets stuck in certain elements, having the ability to automatically stop the process after, say, 2 hours would prevent prolonged, unwanted execution times.
